SAC is led by longtime independent handicapper and sports investor, Sean Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy’s education in sports AND investing has been three decades in the making. Having played four years at a Division I baseball powerhouse (where he achieved Player of the Week/Year honors) and a few years beyond provides SAC with a unique insight to the college/professional athlete’s (and team) psyche. Over the last fifteen years, Mr. Kennedy has led a successful career in the banking and financial services industry further cementing his understanding and practice of proven money management and investment strategies. The coupling of both backgrounds finally drew him to follow his passion of sports handicapping and consulting. In addition to his own countless hours of study, Mr. Kennedy is supported by the ‘Asylum’ research team. The ‘Asylum’ team focuses on the big picture and understands volatility and diversification of risk (see Money Management). The line between the successful sports investor and the one who is not successful is thinner than most realize…often only being separated by the successful investor’s ability to manage downturns and losing streaks (which WILL happen). Again, not measuring success on a daily basis but rather over a longer period of time will see the sports investor through to greener pastures.
